## Elephants

Elephants are the largest land mammals, known for their intelligence, social behavior, and strong familial bonds. These magnificent creatures are primarily found in Africa and Asia.

### Types of Elephants

   - The largest species, known for their large ears and tusks.
2. **African Forest Elephant**  
   - Smaller than the Savannah elephant, with straighter tusks and a more compact build.

### Habitat
Elephants are found in a range of habitats including savannas, forests, and grasslands. They require large areas to roam and access to water sources.

### Diet
Elephants are herbivores and their diet consists primarily of grass, leaves, fruits, and bark. They can consume up to 300 pounds of food a day.

### Social Structure
Elephants live in matriarchal herds that typically consist of related females and their young. Males leave the herd upon reaching maturity.

### Conservation
